Our Services

Specialist teaching £45/hour (£50 off course of 10 lessons).

Dyslexia specialist teaching sessions are tailored to the individual learner's strengths, needs, and learning goals. Sessions are designed to build confidence, develop literacy skills, and provide practical strategies that support learning both in and out of the classroom.

Teaching may include:

  • Phonological awareness development – strengthening the ability to recognise and manipulate sounds within words.
  • Reading skills – improving decoding, fluency, accuracy, comprehension, and reading confidence.
  • Spelling and written language – teaching structured approaches to spelling patterns, vocabulary, sentence construction, and written expression.
  • Memory and processing strategies – developing techniques to support working memory, organisation, and information retention.
  • Study and learning skills – helping learners manage workloads, organise tasks, and develop effective revision techniques.
  • Assistive technology support – introducing and practising the use of tools and software that can aid reading, writing, and organisation.
  • Multi-sensory teaching approaches – using visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, and tactile activities to enhance learning and engagement.
  • Confidence and self-advocacy – helping learners understand their dyslexia, recognise their strengths, and develop strategies to communicate their needs effectively.

Each session is carefully planned, regularly reviewed, and adapted to ensure teaching remains targeted, engaging, and effective. Progress is monitored throughout, allowing learners to build skills at a pace that is appropriate for them while celebrating their achievements along the way.
